Our Story

C & D Appliance Warehouse has been a family business since 1973, when our parents, Donald and Bettsy Hadesty, opened Don Hadesty Appliance Sales in a small shop on East Broad Street in Tamaqua. In those early days, appliances filled the front of the store while our dad ran his barbershop in the back—a true example of hard work and dedication to serving the community.

Over the years, the business grew, always rooted in the values our parents lived by: honesty, service, and treating every customer like a neighbor. Today, the business continues under the ownership of their son, Chris Hadesty, with the help of his sister, Beth, in the office. While much has changed since those first days in Tamaqua, our family’s commitment to quality appliances and personal service has remained the same.
